Description
A wood and metal smoking set depicting a stylized version of the dog looking into the phonograph horn, “His Master’s Voice”. The box of the phonograph contains a small mechanical music box that is wound from the bottom. When the match box lidis lifted a small wire next to the matchbox is pushed, the music box plays and the the dog turns his head back and forth. The box plays several tunes turning off in between each. In overall VG condition but needs a good cleaning. Measures 12″ wide, 8.5″ deep, 7.25″ tall. Comes with a framed sale receipt for the stand from Chevob & Co. of Geneva Switzerland on Sept 7th, 1907. The stand sold for 55 Francs with 27.5 Francs shipping to New York.
