Description
Nice example of a Harrington & Richardson Young America Double Action revolver. A popular line of small, affordable self-defense handguns, they were manufactured in Worcester, Massachusetts, U.S.A., likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. Chambered for .32 S&W, this solid-frame, 5-shot revolver features a blued and nickel-plated finish typical of the era, with the distinctive black checkered hard rubber grips. The short, 2” octagonal barrel is clearly marked with the manufacturer and caliber. The frame displays the model name “YOUNG AMERICA DOUBLE ACTION.” The nickel plating is overall good condition, showing minor surface scratches. The blued finish on the trigger guard and hammer are also in good condition. The grips show minor wear and have a small chip at the bottom of the right grip. The bore is in good condition, showing no freckling or oxidation, and the rifling is prominent. The trigger and action need adjusting/repair but do function. A compact brown leather conceal holster accompanies the revolver, which shows wear from use. Please see photos for overall condition. From Donley’s Wild West Town Museum. Revolver overall length: 5.25” / Holster: L6.75″, W4.25″, D1.5″. S/N: 188353. C/R Eligible
