Description
This outstanding Columbia “Five Star Superb” cruiser bicycle is a highly collectible 1987 anniversary replica, manufactured by the Columbia Manufacturing Company of Westfield, Massachusetts. Specifically produced as part of a strictly limited edition of 5,000 to commemorate Columbia’s 75th anniversary, this RX-5 model (Works Replica Number 1171) was built using the original vintage 1952 tools and dies to ensure complete historical accuracy. The bike features a stunning two-tone green and cream finish, complete with an integrated horn tank, a front springer fork suspension, a fender-mounted headlight, a streamlined rear deck with a built-in taillight, and a premium Persons genuine leather saddle. It includes the rare original steering column lock key and its official Certificate of Authenticity stamped by the Elmwood Park Bicycle Shop from March 1987. The bicycle is in nearly pristine, showroom-quality condition with vibrant paint, showing only minor nicks on the rear deck, while the electrical horn and headlight components remain untested but are presumed functional.
