Description
This exquisite Art Nouveau period lamp features a classic Belle Époque aesthetic, depicting a lithe female harvester amidst a twisting grapevine. The figure is cast spelter with a warm bronze-toned patina, mounted upon a tiered, polished black granite base. The piece is accented by three hanging “grape cluster” glass shades in vibrant green, burgundy, and amber hues, which create a stunning ambient glow. The organic, flowing lines of the vine and foliage are quintessential of the early 20th-century French style. The lamp is in functional condition with replacement wiring, though a safety inspection or rewiring is suggested for regular use. The glass grape bouquets show some minor breaks and chips to individual “grapes” throughout, but the clusters remain largely complete and visually impressive. The metalwork shows light surface wear and patina consistent with age, and the stone base remains solid with minimal edge wear. H 29″, W 14″, D 7″. Please see photos for condition.
