Coin Op & Advertising - Spring Classic Part 1 - Day 3
Lot 2401a:
Description
This charming Victorian-style wall-mounted shaving station is crafted from solid oak, featuring a classic pediment with incised decorative carvings and turned finials that speak to late 19th-century craftsmanship. The piece includes a central mirror, a lower shelf with a notched “comb” or tool gallery, and a sturdy towel bar at the base, likely originating from a domestic American workshop. Condition is fair to good for its age; as noted, the mirror glass appears to be a modern replacement secured with duct tape and cardboard on the reverse, and there are visible screw reinforcements to the frame, though the wood remains structurally sound with a warm patina and wear commensurate with historical use. H 18″, W 17.5″, D 5″. Please see photos for condition.
