Description

A classic example of a bring-back World War II Polish Vis 35 pistol, manufactured under German occupation at the F.B. Radom factory. Chambered in 9mm, this “Grade II” three-lever variation features the characteristic “Waffenamt” eagle over 77 and eagle over 623 inspection marks, indicating production during the Nazi oversight of the facility. A truly unique bring-back feature is the pair of period-correct “sweetheart grips,” crafted from clear plexiglass with black-and-white photographs of women tucked underneath—a common practice for soldiers far from home. On the reverse side of each picture are the women’s names (please see photos). The pistol exhibits remnants of its original blued finish with some thinning and honest holster wear on the high edges. The plexiglass grips are in solid condition and show minor wear. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. Bore and rifling are in good condition. The pistol is accompanied by an original dark brown leather flap holster with a spare magazine pouch and distinctive “AT” markings on the reverse. A faint stamping is visible on the inside of the leather flap. Please see photos for overall condition. S/N: P1765. C&R Eligible.
