Description
A Cold War classic, an East German Makarov pistol chambered in 9x18mm. Made at the Ernst Thaelmann factory in Suhl in 1961, this is a highly regarded variant of the Soviet Makarov pistol, known for its high quality of craftsmanship and polish. These Makarovs saw service in the East German military, the Volkspolizei (VoPos), and the Ministry for State Security (Stasi) during the Cold War. This double/single action pistol features a slide-mounted safety and one, 8 round single-stack magazine. It has black rubberized grips, which are in overall good condition. The finish is in good condition, showing holster wear on the edges and safety. Bore is clean and rifling is sharp. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly.
