Description

This collection features eight WWII-era German Bakelite fuse transport containers (Zünderbüchse) and seven threaded caps, primarily used for protecting artillery and mortar fuzes during transit. Crafted from dark brown mottled Bakelite, these pieces showcase various German military markings, including the "C/29" designation, "M50x3" thread specs, and distinct manufacturer logos and year stamps (largely dated 1941, with one cap marked 1939). As a seasoned collector of field gear, I find these to be essential components of any ordnance display, representing the German military’s extensive use of early plastics for logistics. The items show moderate age-related wear, including surface scratches, minor chips to the edges of some caps, and typical darkening of the Bakelite material, but they remain structurally sound with legible markings.
