Description
Here is a good condition, World War II M1926, dual-tube inflatable life belt manufactured by the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. in Akron, Ohio. These belts were standard issue for sailors and soldiers during amphibious operations, often worn high on the chest or placed around equipment. Dated October 12, 1942, this belt features the classic canvas construction with “USN” marking on the inflation manifold and clear stenciled instructions on the canvas. The item includes the canvas belt, rubber inflation tubes, two used CO2 cartridges, and the metal manifold system. The piece shows wear and staining consistent from age and storage. The canvas and rubber hoses are intact and pliable, and the belt does inflate/hold air Please see photos for overall condition and markings. H 27.5″, W 4.75″, D 2.75″
