Here is a post war, film prop, Polish Army officer’s summer tunic representing the Polish Forces in the West (Polish 2nd Corps) under British command. Constructed from a tan cotton, it features the distinctive red “POLAND” shoulder flashes and yellow collar pennants. The epaulettes display two silver stars, denoting the rank of Lieutenant (Porucznik). The interior lining shows several crossed out hand-inked service numbers and stamps. The buttons are embossed with a Polish eagles with no crown. The tunic includes a ribbon bar with the Polish Cross of Valour and several British-issued campaign stars (Monte Cassino Cross, Africa Star, 1939-1945 Star).
