This is a quintessential reference for any serious student of Nihonto or Pacific War militaria. This no longer published book, Japanese Bayonets, The Definitive Work on Japanese Bayonets 1870 to Present by Larry Johnson, remains a cornerstone text for identifying the vast array of edge weapons produced by Imperial Japanese Arsenals. This particular copy is signed by the author, Larry Johnson, and features a personalized inscription from a fellow researcher/collector, “Dick Orr,” dated May 2, 1992. The book includes over 350 photos and line drawings covering everything from Early Enfields to the Arisaka Type 30 and the elusive Type 100. The hardcover book is in excellent condition; the dust jacket is protected by a mylar sleeve. The internal pages are crisp and the binding is tight. Please see photos for overall condition.
