Description
Pair of WWII German Luftwaffe Clothing Bags
These are a fine pair of WWII-era German Luftwaffe Kleidersack für fliegendes Personal (clothing bags for flying personnel). Crafted from heavy-duty olive-drab canvas, these bags were the standard-issue solution for pilots and crew to transport their flight suits, boots, and personal gear. One bag features a clear stamp—specifically 040378/000. The interior of one bag shows a secondary blue stamp reading "X72" inspection mark. Both bags retain their original webbing straps, metal hardware, and drawstring closures. One example is personalized with the name "Brož" handwritten on the side, a common practice for soldiers in the field. The canvas shows typical field wear, including minor fraying at the drawstring eyelets, light stains, and general scuffing consistent with age and active use; the hardware shows light oxidation but remains functional. Each: H 24", W 20", D 8". See photos.
