Old West & Native American Auction
Lot 1462c:
Description
Here is a lovely, hand stitched, two-piece dress with slightly puffed sleeves and an understated ruffle at the wrist. The top has some well-placed boning. Two decorative rows of ribbon trim at the bottom hem of the skirt have faded to a warm purple black. This is a crisp, plain, smooth design that has held its shape over time, which leads us to I believe it may be a mourning outfit, worn multiple times, over the years as the occasion arose. Overall, it appears to be in very good condition. Skirt 40″ long.
