Description

Mid-19th century, muzzle loading, percussion cap shotgun. There are no manufacture inscriptions of designations. This rifle features a walnut stock that shows heavy wear from storage and use. Cracking throughout the overall stock. The trigger guard, lock plate and hammer are inscribed with a floral design. It has 36-inch, round, smooth bore barrel. All metal work shows oxidation. The bore needs cleaning and has oxidation. The ramrod measures 37 ½ inches, is in solid condition, but is warped. A ramrod band is missing from the barrel. The hammer and trigger actions are smooth and tight. No sign of a serial number. Overall, the rifle is a good display piece. The overall length of the rifle is 53 inches.
