Description

This is a fine example of a Ring-necked Pheasant taxidermy mount, capturing the male bird in a stately, standing pose. The vibrant, iridescent colors of the plumage—including the dark, shimmering green and blue of the head and neck, the distinctive white ring, and the rich russet, gold, and brown body feathers—are characteristic of a mature cock pheasant. The bird is professionally mounted on a realistic, textured faux-log or piece of wood that serves as a base. The style is classic hunting lodge or sportsman’s décor, likely from the Mid-to-Late 20th Century. The bird is in Good to Very Good condition, exhibiting good feather integrity with no obvious signs of major loss or damage, though some minor expected age-related fading and dust accumulation is present on the feathers. The eyes are intact and the beak appears solid. The wooden base shows light wear. H 15″, W 32″, D 7″ (Estimate for depth is for the base). From the Western display in Donley’s Wild West Town.
