Description

This is a magnificent set of genuine Texas Longhorn steer horns, expertly prepared and mounted, making a bold statement piece for any Western-themed decor, ranch, or lodge. The horns themselves exhibit the characteristic sweeping, twisty shape and varied coloration—from dark, polished tips to a lighter, striated, natural tone towards the center. The horns are joined by a substantial, high-quality mount featuring bands of dark brown leather. The central section is beautifully detailed with two embossed leather bands showcasing a stamped scroll or wave pattern, cinched with two rings of braided natural fiber rope and secured with decorative brass-tone upholstery tacks or studs, lending an authentic, artisan touch. The reverse side features a thick, pre-drilled wooden block for secure wall mounting. The overall aesthetic is classic, mid-to-late 20th-century Western Americana. The condition appears to be excellent vintage, with the horns retaining a glossy finish and showing only minor, expected surface wear or patina consistent with age and display. The leather is intact with no significant cracking or tearing visible. Based on the scale references, this is an impressive, extra-large specimen. H 12″, W 64″, D 10″. From the Western display in Donley’s Wild West Town. NOTE: Pickup/transport required. Contacts available post auction.
