Description
This is a beautiful pair of Sioux women’s beaded leggings, date unknown. They are crafted from brain-tanned deer hide and are fully beaded using the “lazy stitch” technique. They feature a geometric design on a white background, incorporating glass seed beads of colors such as cobalt transparent rose white hearts sue green and greasy yellow. The design consists of repeating diamond and triangular patterns with red lines separating the central designs. The leggings are edged with fringed hide and additional triangular patterns at the top and bottom. Each measure approximately 15” x16” No bead loss visible. Please see photos.
