Description
This belt was owned by Harry May of Philadelphia PA who was a silent film actor working for Sigmund Lubin circa 1910. Lubin wanted his actors to learn to ride and shoot properly so he sent them to be trained by cowboys in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show. May acquired this beaded belt from one of the show Indians. It is a 2.5″ wide double buckle belt with 9 beaded panels sewn to the belt. All bead work is in VG condition. The belt overall measures 39″ long. From the Wild West Town Union, IL collection.
