Description
This Northern Plains Indian War Club, also referred to as a “skull-cracker” consists of a handle covered in leather stitched with a oval pointed and stone hafted to it, utilizing sinew or rawhide wrapping. At the lower 1/3 of the handle is a pair of beaded decorations on leather with glass seed beads of red, white and blue affixed using the lazy stitch technique. Overall dimensions: 23.5” long x 2” depth. Head length is approximately 4.75” long. See photos.
