Description
This trinket basket circa 1970s was made by the Tohono O’odom people, formerly known as the Papago tribe, native to the Sonoran Desert in Arizona and Mexico. This particular piece has a wave design of two parallel lines and circling the entire basket walls. The lid has a star pattern with a rim of alternating dark and light colors it also has a handle woven into the structure. The lid has a lip which when inserted into the basket it ensures a tight fit.
