October Fall Classic
Lot 1005:
Description
Here is a fantastic opportunity to own a true American icon! This is a 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-Door Sedan, a key member of the legendary “Tri-Five” family of Chevy’s that defined a generation. VIN # VC56L035584. This is reportedly the vehicle that was used to transport Jerry Garcia and other notable show people between 1970’s – 1980’s. With its distinctive grille and graceful tail fins, the ’56 Bel Air is one of the most recognizable classic cars in the world. This vehicle represents a great starting point for a full restoration, a cool rat rod, or a custom hot rod build. This is a project car requiring a complete restoration. There is significant visible rust on the lower body panels and rocker panels. The two-tone paint is faded and failing, and the chrome trim shows pitting and age. The interior features non-original velour upholstery. The undercarriage exhibits heavy surface rust. The trailer pictured is for display only and is not included in the sale. Please see photos and bid accordingly. There are about 4-5 pages on the car and its history.
Note: Pickup/ Transport required. Contacts available post auction.
