Description
This is a whimsical and charming piece of folk art, a hand-painted wooden sign for the “Museum of World Shoes” and “Antiques & Collectibles” in Olde Galena. The sign’s style is quintessentially 1960s or 70s, with playful, free-form lettering and a graphic of a pair of shoes at the top. The sign is painted on plywood with a decorative cut-out top and bottom. The paint is faded, with some chips and scratches, and the sign itself is weathered from years of being displayed outdoors and is being offered as-is. This sign is a substantial piece, measuring approximately 93 inches tall and 48 inches wide. See photos.
