Description
A contemporary wood carving of a traditional German style St. Nicholas AKA Santa Claus. This version of St. Nick was the accepted character before Coca Cola transformed him into the Santa Claus that we know today. Very well carved and signed by noted wood carver J.H. Thompson 1988. He wears the traditional long coat, holding a staff in his left hand and a teddy bear in his right. A sack of toys is on his back. In VG condition. Measures 37″ tall, 14″ wide, 14″ deep.
