Scarce antique 1830-1832 “Bronze Looking Glass” aka Pillar & Splat. Lot Godspeed, Middletown Conn. Movement made by Chris Kirke, Goodspeed only made cases. Internal tag is complete states” Imported Clocks sold by Lot Goodspeed Middletown Conn.” Only 3 clocks made by Goodspeed were known to exist per NAWCC 1994. Repairs to time winding pinon is marked “D,.W. Mead, Niles, Mar 27/90” 1890. Niles is located in Allegany Co. NY. Looking glass label on door is from Oswego Co, NY. Good overall condition with some minor cosmetic blemishes such as scratches and minor cracks in the case. Cosmetic blemish on silver glass door. Approximately 34″t x 6″w x 16″l, perfect addition to your home, please use photos to judge condition and bid accordingly.
