Description
One of the earliest clocks sold by Byington with the over paste label. Movement was made by either C. Boardman or Boardman & Wells dating back to the 1820s-1830s. Lawyer Byington, Newark, Tioga Co. NY over paste label, swing door Groaner. P. Canfield printed label. Byington was born in Connecticut in 1799 and died in 1856. Hard to come by collector clock, approximately 36″t x 6″w x 16.5″l .
