Yoshida “Small Town in Chugoku” Woodblock Print, by renowned artist Hiroshi Yoshida, master of the Shin-hanga (New Prints), published in 1933, Japanese title and date printed in left margin, “Made in Showa 8″, artist’s pencil signature at bottom right, the Jizuri (self-printed) seal is missing from the upper left margin area, depicts a tranquil, everyday street scene in a historic village within the Chugoku region of western Japan during the early 1930s, severe paper yellowing, ink colors appear muted, possible long-term exposure to UV light, tiny crease on left and right margin, darker edge along the cream-colored mat board, housed in a bamboo-style wooden frame, overall good condition, see photos. 19″ x 14”
