Standard SR-F22 Transistor Radio from the Late 1950s
This is a highly collectible, vintage radio produced by the Standard Radio Co., Ltd, one of the earliest Japanese transistor radios, it is a pocket-sized AM band with 6 Hitachi transistors, the unique grille is in outstanding shape along with the tuning dial that has two very small triangles – these indicated Civil Defense frequencies back in the Cold War days, runs on a standard 9-volt battery and includes rare components like early glass-body crystal diodes, tested and works perfectly! Picked up a station in Chicago approximately 60 miles away! You’ll be hard-pressed to find another in very good to excellent condition like this one! Amazing find for collectors of early electronics or anyone who’d like a fully functional piece of radio history! 4 1/2″ x 2 3/4″
