(2) Reproduction Mechanical Cast Iron Banks includes a classic Punch and Judy bank, originally designed in 1884, to operate, pull lever on right side to cock the mechanism, place coin on Judy’s frying pan, release lever, Punch swings forward with his club while Judy flings the coin into the theater box slot, and a “I Always Did ‘Spise a Mule” cast iron mechanical bank, a coin is placed in a designated slot, when spring-loaded lever is activated, the mule pivots or bucks, this motion knocks the figure over, depositing the coin into the base, see photos.
