Lot 2177a:
Description
An exceptionally detailed, mid-to-late 20th-century miniature scale model of a classic Conestoga covered wagon, serving as a compelling representation of American frontier history. Hand-crafted with close attention to traditional styling, the piece features a sturdy stained wood body, fully functional rolling wooden wheels with metal rims, and a working front steering hitch assembly. The wagon is completely outfitted with a heavy white canvas bonnet stretched over internal support hoops and comes adorned with an extensive array of miniature pioneer trail gear, including a wooden water barrel, a miniature anvil, a faux-leather feed bag, a hanging canteen, miniature storage boxes, two canvas supply sacks, two miniature buckets, and a detailed replica rifle and powder horn mounted to the side. Objectively, the item is in good vintage condition with normal signs of age and handling; the canvas top shows light surface dust, minor smudges, and two neat, square fabric patches applied to the exterior, while the wooden frame and miniature accessories show only light scuffs and minor wear, with the front steering and rolling mechanics remaining fully intact. H 24″, W 17″, D 36″. Snake driver in photos not included with wagon. Please see photos for condition. Note: Pickup/Transport required. Contacts available Post-Auction.
