Title: “Rudy” Motion Pictured Used ND Jacket

Location of Purchase: University of Notre Dame – South Bend, Indiana
Dates of Motion Picture Usage: This jacket was worn by members of the top staff of the Tri-Star Film crew, during filming on the campus of Notre Dame from October 24th 1992, thru December 1992. It was also worn in various crowd scenes throughout the movies production.
Additional Description: This is an authentic Notre Dame letterman jacket from 1974, the actual time when Rudy Ruettiger was trying to make the Notre Dame practice squad. It was borrowed by Dick Sayers of the Tri-Star film crew (from owner Bob O’Neill) to be used for the 50-day filming period. The Butwin jacket features a navy-blue virgin wool body, black leather sleeves, tackle-twill gold “NOTRE DAME” letters arched across the back, gold striped trim on neck, jacket bottom and cuffs, plus a gold chenille fabric shamrock logo with “IRISH” embroidered in bold, navy blue block lettering. This jacket is iconic and globally recognized as a true, authentic, motion pictured used “Rudy” jacket.
