Description
This fascinating ethnographic collection features a hide-wrapped stone war club, a primitive bone-handled adze, and a vintage German utility knife. The war club, measuring approximately 12″ in length with a 4″ x 3.5″ head, displays traditional craftsmanship with a heavy stone encased in hand-stitched rawhide. The 12″ bone implement features a 1.5″ diameter handle and a 5″ wide curved head secured with expert binding. Completing the set is an 11.5″ knife marked “HEINR. BÖKER & CO BAUMWERK SOLINGEN,” featuring a 6″ “Arbolito” blade and a sturdy wood handle. The items show significant age-related wear, including dried rawhide with minor cracking, a natural aged patina on the bone, and surface oxidation and sharpening marks on the blade consistent with heavy field use. H 12″, W 5″, D 3.5″. Please see photos.
