Description
Tlingit basket circa 1890 is made using a twining method from spruce root and dyed bear grass. The basket is cylindrical in shape with a conical base. It features a geometric design running around the rim and midsection. It is accompanied by a paper tag which reads: “Northwest Coast Tlingit Basket CA1890 # 2298”. Dimensions: 4.5” tall x 4.5” diameter. Please see photos.
