Modern Sioux Fur and Feather Headdress
This is a modern Sioux fur and feather headdress featuring a central head ring of dark brown and white striped fur forming the foundation for the headdress. The fur could possibly be from a badger or skunk. Suspended from the headdress ring are long soft animal pelts either being mink or ermine. Emerging from the feathered ring are four large feathers with hollowed animal bone bases (1.25” long), and adorned with ermine accents along their spines. A beautiful piece, good condition. Dimensions: Central ring diameter approximately 11”. Suspended fur hangs down 33”. Please see photos.
