Description
This rare early 1900s German-market Lambert celluloid phonograph cylinder features a striking amber/orange color and comes with its original cardboard storage tube. The case boasts a vibrant label featuring the iconic Lambert elephant trademark and reads “Unzerbrechliche Walzen” (unbreakable cylinders), distributed by the Continental Abtheilung filiale of the American Graphophone Co. in Hamburg. The top rim of the cylinder is stamped with the title “8049 Pilgerchor aus Tannhauser.” The cylinder has a clean, full-length vertical break down one side, while the cardboard case shows expected age-related dust, fading, and shelf wear but remains structurally intact with its original lid.
