Coin Op & Advertising - Spring Classic Part 1 - Day 3
Lot 2512:
Description
This remarkable 38-piece (includes fragments) assembly represents a rare opportunity to construct a matching pair of four-tiered corner étagères, resplendent with the romantic flair of the Rococo Revival era. The set is anchored by twelve magnificent S-scroll brackets adorned with lush, deep-relief floral blooms and acanthus leaves, one of which bears the professional foundry casting mark “5267.” These are complemented by a graduated series of eight triangular shelves—ranging from a substantial 15.75″ base to a delicate 9″ top—featuring whimsical high-relief scenes of winged cherubs and noble heraldic lions nestled within intricate lattice-work and scrolling vines. To complete the structural symphony, the collection includes four ornate floral filigree accents and a series of classic turned spindles that serve as elegant vertical dividers. Most of the cast iron remains in solid architectural condition with some breaks (all pieces are accounted for), displaying a storied, authentic patina with honest surface oxidation and minor pitting that speaks to its 19th-century origins. H 15.75″, W 15.75″, D 0.75″Please see photos for condition. Note: Pickup/ Transport required. Contacts available post auction.
