Description
A framed oil on canvas by an unknown artist, most likely a 19th/early 20th-century European school copy painting. The subject matter is the Visitation by the young Christ child. The work is unsigned. The canvas has a couple of small pinholes with paint loss, a 2-inch diameter indentation in the left-center, and various scuffs and scrapes to the surface; it is in need of a cleaning. The frame has been repainted. The painting measures 20″H x 30″W, and with the frame 23″H x 32″W.
