Description

Sought after $10 United States Buffalo Note Friedberg #122. Approximately F-VF overall circulated condition with folds, edge wear, discoloration and three “pinholes”. The paper is soft with round corners and edges. Truly a magnificent piece of American numismatic history, this is a Series of 1901 Ten Dollar Legal Tender Note, often referred to by collectors as the “Buffalo Note.” These notes are highly sought after, featuring a striking central vignette of an American Bison (buffalo) flanked by portraits of explorers Meriwether Lewis (top) and William Clark (bottom). The note is a United States Note (denoted by the red seal and serial numbers). The large red seal is visible, and the note bears the signatures Speelman & White the Register of the Treasury and the Treasurer of the United States. The reverse is printed in an ornate green, featuring an allegorical scene of Columbia standing between two pillars. A Must have for any Currency Collector, perfect addition to your collection. Please use photos to judge condition and bid accordingly.
