The Top 300! - Spring Classic Part 2
Lot 25:
Description
What a stunning pair of late 19th century interior parlor doors, a true find for any lover of architectural antiques. Made of ash with birds eye maple panels on the bottom and magnificent etched glass panels on the top, featuring a beautifully detailed pigeon perched on an ornate balustrade. This isn’t your average frosted glass; the quality of the etching suggests significant artistry and care. The original finish on the wood shows flaking and chipping particularly around the edges. The original lock hardware appears to be present with no knobs. Half the lift off style hinges are missing but easily replaceable. The glass panels each measure 24″ wide, 44.5″ tall. Each door is 95″ tall inches tall, 31.75″wide, and 1.375″ thick.
