A true barn find, looks to be untouched. The 1961’s were said to be first generation level cars. It’s very unusual to find a car nowadays that is in original condition. The auction house is not going to touch this car, as far as cleaning or work besides putting air in tires so the next lucky owner can see how it was originally found, sleeping for many years in storage. Looking at the exterior, through the dirt and dust, it looks to have all the exterior trim, emblems, etc, all in good condition. All chrome even looks good. The only minor issue seen is the left rear tail light is partially cracked but all there. Even has original G.E. headlamps. All the glass looks original and in good condition. Opening the trunk, it is very clean, no rust in trunk floor. Has spare and jack. No noticeable rust in trunk lid edge. The trunk is huge! You could sneak 4-5 people into the outdoor theatre! No noticeable rust in quarter panels or in rocker panels. It does have a small rust through spot, starting at the lower, rear of left front fender (just starting to show). No rust showing along hood edge or lower door bottoms. Has all four original wheel covers. Tires are poor from age, but they will hold air for some time. Under the hood sports an original V8 engine with power steering. No battery. Good strong hood springs that look very complete. Engine compartment is slightly dirty but no rust, signs of oil leaks or grease. All door trim panels look good. No sag to any of the four doors and even the weather strip is good and somewhat pliable, especially for the age. Very good headliner, sun visors, front and back are very good with some slight wear areas to driver area. Carpet in rear is very good with some small amount of wear to front drivers area. The drivers arm rest pad has some cracking. All windows are manual. Dash pad is very good. AM radio not tested sporting Chrysler’s well known push button shifting on dash. Also speedometer showing 48,147 miles, showing only minor wear on brake and gas pedals. This car has probably one of the coolest chrome dashes and steering column areas that you will see on any car. A great looking sleek, big fun car that will get the attention at any cruise night. Please look at photos and come out and see this unusual automobile. You will not be disappointed. Has title, not running.
