Lot 3528:
Description
This original 1918 promotional sales booklet for the Sonora Phonograph Sales Company of New York is a wonderful piece of early 20th-century audio history. The paper booklet features a beautifully illustrated cover depicting a high-end Sonora console “talking machine” resting on a veranda, complete with the company’s famous slogan, “The Highest Class Talking Machine in the World.” The interior contents page reveals a complete breakdown of period models ranging from the $50 “Melodie” to the top-tier $1000 “Supreme,” alongside listings for record cabinets, motors, and needles. The piece is in good overall condition with a tight binding, showing minor age-related edge wear, light creasing on the cover, and gentle corner bumping consistent with its age.
