Description
1890’s cylinder record catalog of the United States Phonograph Co. in Newark, N.J. They were early on one of the major suppliers of cylinder records rivaled only by Columbia. The business was organized by Victor Hugo Emerson, a recording engineer and former manager of the New Jersey Phonograph Company. He was later joined by Simon S. Ott and George E. Tewkesbury, who were executives at the Kansas Phonograph Company and known inventors of automatic phonograph hardware. In overall fair to good but fragile condition with paper loss to the front and back covers. Measures 6″ tall, 5″ wide. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
