Description

This exceptional lot features two original, early 20th-century paper promotional booklets published by the Victor Talking Machine Co. of Camden, New Jersey. The first booklet is a highly collectible “Victor Record Catalogue” dated January 1907, featuring the iconic “His Master’s Voice” artwork of Nipper the dog next to early disc records, with the reverse displaying a gold-stamped “Grand Prize” medal emblem from the Buffalo, St. Louis, and Portland Expositions. The second piece is a “Victor Talking Machines” dealer booklet carrying an original retailer stamp from “C. Campbell” of Saltillo, Indiana, illustrating several classic external horn-style phonographs on its front cover and a masterfully lithographed portrait gallery titled “Singers of World Wide Fame Who Endorse & Make Records Only for the Victor” on the back cover, highlighting legendary talent like Enrico Caruso, Nellie Melba, and Adelina Patti. Both historical ephemera pieces show an expected degree of handling, including uniform paper toning, light edge and corner wear, minor localized surface scuffing, and minor handling creases consistent with century-old paper goods, yet they remain structurally complete with clear text and vibrant graphic preservation. H 6″, W 3.5″, D 0.1″. Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
