Description
This Fireside Model A Combination Type introduced in 1909 features a dual-speed gearing allowing both 2-minute wax cylinders and 4-minute cylinders . It is equipped with a Model K reproducer in VG condition with both styli. The mechanism is in beautiful original condition and winds and runs well. Describers note: This is one of the quietest running machines we have ever heard. Plating on the parts is VG. Bedplate paint is VG and double pinstripe is VG. Comes with a 14” black with brass bell horn that has a couple of wrinkles in the bell. The original finish oak case and matching lid are good but the varnish is starting to fail and the Edison decal on the front is present but deteriorating. The back of the case has been drilled for a cygnet horn mount which is not included. Measures 12” wide, 9.25” deep, 11” tall with lid on. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
