Firearms and Ammo Auction
Lot 1317:
Description
J.C. Higgins Model 20 pump-action 12-gauge shotgun, manufactured for Sears, Roebuck and Co from 1946 to 1962. A staple of mid-century American sporting, this workhorse features a 2 3/4″ chamber and a ventilated rib barrel. Notably, it is equipped with a “Power Pac” muzzle device, a period-correct compensator and interchangeable choke system designed to reduce recoil and improve shot patterns. The firearm is finished with a blued steel receiver and 22-inch barrel, complemented by a ribbed wooden forend and a pistol-grip walnut stock fitted with a ventilated rubber recoil pad. The shotgun shows honest field wear consistent with its age, including scattered thinning of the bluing on the receiver and barrel, and various scratches, scuffs, and finish loss on the wooden stock and forend. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. Bore is clean and shiny. Please see photos for overall condition. S/N: NSN C&R Eligible
