Firearms and Ammo Auction
Lot 1141:
Description
This is a classic single-shot bolt-action, rimfire rifle manufactured by Springfield Arms Company. Chambered in .22 Short/Long and featuring a 24-inch barrel, it is similar to the Model 15, which was produced primarily during the late 1930s and into the 1940s for the “boy’s rifle” market. The model was branded as an affordable yet reliable option for small game and target practice. The wood stock has a high-gloss lacquer finish and is in good condition for its age, with no cracks and major dings. The metal surfaces show an honest, aged patina with areas of thinning bluing and minor surface oxidation typical of a mid-century field rifle. Bore is clean and rifling shows rounding. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. Rifle comes with a padded soft carrying case. Please see photos for overall condition. S/N: NSN. C&R Eligible.
