Lot 1118:
Description
Very Clean Thompson/Center “Contender,” break-action pistol chambered in .223 Remington. This modular, single-shot pistol is renowned for its long-range accuracy and versatility. First introduced in 1967, it became a favorite for varmint hunting and silhouette shooting due to its interchangeable barrel system, which allowed shooters to swap calibers on a single frame. This pistol, manufactured in 1978, features a 10-inch barrel, adjustable rear sight, and a hammer with a selector (allowing shooter to switch between rimfire and centerfire firing pins). The metal finish and wood furniture are like new, showing no marks. Mechanically, the break-action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. Please see photos for overall condition.
