Lot 1076:
Description
Introduced in 1921, the Walther Model 9 is a sub-compact, blowback-operated semi-automatic pistol chambered in .25 ACP (6.35mm). It was marketed as the smallest .25 caliber pistol in the world at the time and remained a staple of Walther’s production until 1945. Type I (1921–1924) is characterized by blue enamel grip medallions. The left medallion is marked “CW” (Carl Walther) and the right “6.35”. This little shooter, which was produced in 1922, features a 2-inch barrel, crown over N proofs marks on the right side of the frame, and has two 6-round magazines. Its exhibits remnants of its original blued finish, which shows wear from age and use. The grips and medallions are in good condition showing wear from age, but no cracks or chips. Bore is clean and rifling is good, with some rounding. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. Pistol comes with a set of new recoil springs. Please see photos for overall condition. S/N:437198. C&R Eligible
