Description
Good condition, Hopkins and Allen Arms, exposed hammer, 12-gauge, side by side shotgun. Hopkins & Allen produced a variety of exposed hammer, double-barrel shotguns, often branded as “hardware store guns” from the late 1890s until their bankruptcy in 1916. These were typically affordable, utility-grade shotguns popular in the early 20th century. This particular shotgun has a matching checkered stock and forestock, which is in good condition, showing light dings and scratches from decades of use and storage. The metal work has a nice dark patina from age and use, but no sign of oxidation. Bore is clean. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly.
