Description
Here is nice condition, FN Commercial Sporterized rifle built on the Mauser 98 bolt-action system. Chambered in .30-06, this rifle style was a popular post-World War II modification of the military Mauser 98 action and often tailored for hunting. These rifles were produced by FN during the 1950s and 1960s. This particular rifle features a 24” barrel and a one-piece, checkered wood stock that shows some dings, nicks and clear coat scuffs from decades of use and storage. A leather sling is attached to the stock, which is still very supple. The metal parts retain 85% of their original finish with visible wear on the edges and trigger assembly. A 4x Bushnell Scope Chief is attached to the rifle which has clear optics. The scope does show scratches and paint lose throughout. Numbers match (27358) on the barrel, receiver and bolt. Bore is clean and rifling is prominent. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. Please see photos for overall condition. S/N: 27358. C&R Eligible.
