Description
Royal Bayreuth Porcelain Tomatoware Lot, 4-piece lot includes a tomato jar with lid, used as a sugar bowl, condiment jar or mustard pot, 6.5″, one minor edge chip on inside rim of the jar, a sugar bowl with lid, 3.25″, a trinket jar, 3.75″ and a porcelain lettuce leaf plate, used to lemon trays to serve items like nuts or candy, 5.5″, all marked “Bayreuth Bavaria”, manufactured in Germany in early 20th Century, interesting history about a devastating fire in 1897 that destroyed many original molds and records, after 200 years, original factory finally ceased operations in 2019, all in very good condition, see photos.
